Here we offer a fine large oil on canvas painting of Runswick Bay, Yorkshire by the Yorkshire painter James Watson.

Watson lived between 1851 and 1936. He lived in Newcastle upon Tyne and was associated with the Staithes Group of Painters.

This is a fine example of the artist's work and is a very attractive view showing children picking flowers above Runswick Bay in Yorkshire.

The canvas measures 30"x 48" and is contained in a good old gilt frame. It is signed "James Watson" lower left and dated 1893.
