Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning original Robert Mouseman Thompson custom made to order, fully restored Writing Bureau over a bank of drawers with drop front writing slope and the original purchase receipt dated 1940

A highly decorative and important bureau dating to 1940 and complete with the original receipt, this documentation is very important as it proves the piece was made in the lifetime of and under the guise of the founding father of Mouseman, Robert Thompson 1876-1955

The piece has been sympathetically restored to remove the last 85 years of grime to reveal the stunning original patina and finish, its then been ever so slightly French polished to seal and protect it, the end result is an absolute work of art

This piece was custom made to order and most likely a one of a kind, it is in affect a wide tallboy chest of drawers however the top section has been made in to a drop from writing bureau, the folding flap sits on top of the top drawer so its sloped downwards
