Description

William Gilbert Foster (1855-1906) was a senior member of the Staithes Group of artists. He exhibited widely and spent many years living and painting at Runswick Bay on the Yorkshire coast.

"Unloading the Catch" is a fine example. A watercolour measuring 11"x 15" it is signed lower left and is framed giving an overall size of 20"x 24".
