Fine Watercolour Miniature of a Young Girl

A beautiful miniature portrait of a young girl painted in watercolour on ivory. The girl is seated, and dressed in a lace dress with her hair in ringlets and has a charming smile. The miniature is mounted in the original arts and crafts setting with a silver plated frame which over the years has been rubbed back to the copper. This setting is fixed in the original leather case which is lined with green velvet and opens out with a stand to be displayed. The piece is not signed but it is obviously of some quality and the whole is hugely charming. The condition overall is very good only one of the case doors is slightly bowed. C.1900.
