Oil painting on canvas of Enard Bay on the North West coast of Scotland by the Scottish artist Henry Jobson Bell dated 1896. A small boat is drawn up on the sand in the foreground with a little cottage in the middle distance and the distinctive shape of the mountain Suilven in the distance. Painted in an Impressionist manner in thick oils with visible brush marks. Clearly signed in the lower left hand corner and dated 1896. With a later annotated paper label on the rear. Very good condition, presented unframed on the original wooden stretcher.
