Portobello pottery Toby jug, Scottish potteries, c. 1830. The seated Toby, holding a mug of beer, and wearing a black coat. Decorated in typical muted enamels, the canted base washed in green.

Height – 25 cm, 9 7/8”.

Width – 11 cm, 4 3/8”

Depth – 19 cm, 7 1/2”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
