Here we have a very good William Calcott Knell (1830-1880) oil on canvas of fishermen in a rough sea, monogrammed to lower right and framed in a swirling gilt frame, Calcott Knell was a British painter and the son of William Adolphus Knell, theb painting is in very good undamaged condition and the frame is also very well presented with just minor signs of age.
