McTague of Harrogate has dated this piece to the 1920s.
K.. In his early years he painted around the Wensleydale area, later settling at Winchelsea Beach in the early 1920s where he designed and built a house that he called Salt Dykes.

"Redmire 1921" is a lovely example of his Wensleydale paintings showing the Gypsy caravans on Redmire village green in Wensleydale, Yorkshire. Measuring 14"x 18" it is an oil on canvas signed lower left and dated 1921. It is framed giving an overall size of 22"x 27".
