Taped to the verso are extracts from the catalogue. The work presented here was lot no. 158, depicting the Seine at "La Fontaine" in the "Meanders of the Seine Natural Park. This regional nature reserve boasts a unique combination of light and landscapes, much of which was a source of inspiration for painters such as Turner, Boudin, Sisley and Signac.
Measuring 46 x 55 cm, the overall framed size in a period frame by Paris master framers Delf is 59 x 68 cm.
