Description

This GEORGIAN ENGRAVING, entitled BELLEISLE LODGE, one of the few buildings to be found on the islands of Lake Windermere.

It is lettered below the image with title, note on the Lodge and dedication to John Christian Curwen, Esq, Owner. Drawn by John Smith, Engraved by F. Merigot and Published March 1791 by R. Blamire, Strand London.

The engraving is behind glass in a very attractive wooden frame which is decorated in five contrasting colours and may well be contemporary with the print.

Width: 19.75 inches (50.5 cm)
