If anything it makes me think of the early work of Hans Hofmann (1880-1966), one of the rare abstract expressionists whose art was unapologetically joyous.

Our oil on canvas with stable craquelure dates from circa 1945-50, is unsigned. Measuring 30 x 60 cm, it is presented in its original artist strip frame, in which it was painted - the are traces of oil colour on the inside of the frame. The overall size is 33 x 62.5 cm.
