Description

Theresa Stannard 1898-1947.Theresa was the only daughter of Henry Sylvester Stannard.She was Born at Flitwick Bedfordshire and educated at Bedford High School.She received her artistic training from her father.She showed early promise and at sixteen she had a picture exhibited at the Royal Academy.Like other members of the Stannard family,Theresa’s paintings were favoured by the Royal family; both Queen Mary and Queen Alexander purchased her work. ‘ A Walled Garden in Summer ‘ signed watercolour, image size 25x34.5 cms , framed size 46.5x57cms cms.Professionally cleaned by my excellent restorer and newly framed with a top quality giltwood frame with wash line mount
