Fine Edwardian Landscape Oil Painting

A fine and evocative oil landscape painted on board. The landscape is a beautiful depiction of a summer day with a white-hot sun in the sky shining on a shore of a loch or lake. The quality of the painting is clearly very high and the piece is signed by monogram which I have been unable to identify, although I have no doubt the artist would be well recorded. The work is dated 1918. The painting is in excellent untouched condition. The gilt frame is the original and is also in excellent untouched condition. A fine and decorative example of early twentieth century landscape painting which is ready to hang.
