Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The first depicts cattle in the foreground, on the rivers edge. A farmer with stick stands nearby. Far reaching views to hills in the background. A large house is set in the mid-ground to the left and near to the river edge.
Excellent condition overall, seemingly re-lined recently. Ready to hang. Unsigned.

The second (same size and identically framed) depicts another riverscape, with cattle in the foreground knee-deep in the river edge. A female with bonnet and red jacket is seated on the riverbank nearby. There is a castle/church ruin in the mid-ground to the right. Again a peaceful well-painted and structured painting in a good gilt-wood frame within a light green velvet mask. Excellent clean condition and re-lined. Ready to hang. Unsigned.
Dimensions (both): Frame: (w): 17.5 inches x (h) 11 inches (44.5 x 28 cm). Visible canvas: (w) 11.75 inches x (h) 5.5 inches (30 x 14cm).
