A charming Georgian period print after an original painting by George Morland. A superb quality print which has been hand coloured and is in excellent condition. The print is taken from an original work by George Morland titled Apple Gathers and dated 1791, the print would have been engraved shortly after this date. The scene shows children in an orchard collecting and eating apples, one boy is in a tree throwing the fruit down to the girls below. The print is in the original mount with black and gilt-edged glass. The frame is the original and really great quality with superb shell corners and original gilding. The whole is a great decorative Georgian piece with a huge amount of charm.
