Title “Huntsman on grey with hound" by Reginald Mills.
Subject portrait of a master of Foxhounds red coat huntsman leader riding galloping in full stride on his equine grey thoroughbred horse with a chasing pack of hunting scent foxhound dogs to his lower right in front of him, they are on the flat moors pursing the scent of the fox prey, with thick green & brown grass vegetation and patches of purple heather which can be seen Behind him are are a group of other red coat huntsmen riders following, with views of opne landscape with a large steep hill to the left with trees in the distance with mountains further back, above a mix of grey sky with patches pf blue coming through set in autumn time.

Signed bottom corner by the known listed British artist Reginald Mills (1896-1950).
Circa 1920's early 20th century.
Set in original gilt frame.
This rather nice size to display on your wall with frame being 65 cm wide and 50 cm high.

This is a rather fine early example of his work.
Reginald Mills was a British artist he was known to have exhibited at the Royal Academy and shown at the Royal Society of British Artists during the early part of the 20th century. He was born towards the end of the Victorian era in the year 1896, he was mainly known for his depictions of fire paintings, as this is a hunting scene it is unusual and rare example. The artist died in the mid 20th century in the year 1950. His works have been sold at auctions around the world with the highest sold price being $7,991 US dollars which was for fighting a might time blaze unframed sold at Bonhams.
