Large Victorian Oil On Canvas “peacock In Country House Garden”

Signed and dated (87) by Earnest Owen Cooke. In as found condition. The painting would benefit from being professionally cleaned (it’s very dark and there is evidence of some old repairs if you look close) but I love it the way it is and don’t have the heart to have it restored. It’s just got that great country house look that’s so elusive.
 
Including heavy gilt frame 104cm wide x 155cm high.
