A wonderfully decorative and evocative portrait of a lady from the 1920’s in pastel. The portrait shows the lady in typical period dress with open collar, loose neck tie and the most wonderful hat cocked to one side. The quality of the work is superb and is signed though I have been unable to identify the artist, it is possible it may be an art school work. The piece is in good condition with the odd area of discolouration to the paper. The gilt frame is likely the original and of lovely quality and condition. The work has been relatively recently remounted. The whole has a great period and decorative look and is ready to hang.
