British School of Scottish interest, early 19th Century - An unusual allegorical compositon of a Scottish Laird with a plough and horses beside a ruined tower in a landscape, he is shown doffing his cap to an apparition of a female in classical dress carrying a harp, oil on panel within a Victorian gilt gesso frame.
