Beautifully painted, oil on canvas. Dated 1869 (lower left) with the title “The Merry Wives of Windsor” and initialed with an ‘N’ overlaying other initials, possibly an ‘R’ and one other initial? Additionally, the artist has transcribed to the verso of canvas.....
