Very small oil on board painting in glazed frame. Circa 1910. 20 x 16cm including the frame.Allan Douglas Davidson, R.B.A., R.O.I., R.M.S. (1873–1932) an English painter who specialized in female nudes. Born in London. His father was the historical painter Thomas Davidson (1842–1919) Allan studied art at the Royal Academy Schools in London, he also studied at the Académie Julian in Paris. He was elected to the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1921 and was also a member of the Langham Sketching Club, and painted a small work for Queen Mary''s Dolls'' House.
