A mid 19th century Italian primitive Votive painting of a man being kicked by a horse in Naples Italy. Votive paintings depict a near disaster, such as being kicked by a horse, but surviving and then giving this votive painting to a church or chapel as thanks for prayers answered. This antique Italian painting is dated 1851 and is painted upon a solid walnut panel. In very good condition.
