Description

A decorative oil on canvas painting of a thoroughbred horse called "Black Peter." The painting is signed to the bottom left G.D. Giles this being Godfrey Douglas Giles and dated 1899.

Godfrey Giles was born in Karachi in 1857, a good horse and military painter, he died in Edinburgh in 1941.

The painting is In good condition, framed in a plain oak gilt frame.
