A charming oil on canvas of a hound. The dog sits in a kennel setting and is shown half length. The painting technique is typical of the first half of the twentieth century but sadly the work is not signed or dated. The piece has had some slight restoration to a couple of small holes but it has been done very well and is not visible from the front. The work is framed in a Victorian frame which has had some gilt overpaint. The piece has a great look and captures the hound beautifully. It is ready to hang.
