Brave Fine Art has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The project was initiated when it became evident that the collection would need to be sold - eventually to Catherine of Russia in 1778.

Earlom was particularly admired for his work involving florals and this is an excellent example of his talent. Identical uncoloured flower pieces have sold through Christie's for up to £2,750. The colouring is accomplished and dynamic.
