A fine oil on canvas depiction of the famous fresco by Guido Reni painted in 1614. The work is a wonderful piece of Baroque art full of colour and movement with Aurora Goddess of the dawn flying forward pushing back the night and heralding Apollo in his chariot, surrounded by the hours as he brings light to the world. The work is in good untouched condition and has not been cleaned giving it a great country house look, it does have some old repairs and layers of varnish. The work retains the original gilt frame which is in good condition but does have some minor warping. The whole has a great period decorative look and is ready to hang.
