Brave Fine Art has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Nestled amid autumnal foliage, a stone cottage stands alongside a sinuous tree. It’s buried in nature, as it has been for decades. A boatman, perhaps its owner, readies himself to head downriver. The shimmering water peppered with algae.
The work bears an indecipherable signature, which is a shame as it’s by an accomplished hand.

Held in a decorative scroll and foliate frame.
