Will a knockdown wardrobe fit up my stairs?

Knockdown wardrobes dismantle completely into flat sections, including the top cornice, base, sides, and doors, which allows them to pass through narrow stairwells and tight hallways. Once inside the room, these panels lock together securely using internal bolts or wooden fixings without requiring permanent structural assembly.

How do I maintain a waxed pine wardrobe?

Waxed pine surfaces require occasional nourishment with a traditional beeswax polish to prevent the timber from drying out and to maintain a soft sheen. Avoid placing these pieces in direct sunlight or close to heat sources, which can cause the solid wood to warp or split over time.

What is the difference between a wardrobe and a compactum?

A standard wardrobe focuses primarily on vertical hanging space behind two full-length doors, sometimes supplemented by a single base drawer. A compactum divides the interior space to include internal drawers, sliding trays, and smaller shelving compartments alongside the main hanging section.

Can I paint a waxed pine wardrobe?

Many pine wardrobes arrive ready to paint or wax, allowing buyers to customise the exterior finish to suit their bedroom decor. Removing any existing wax layers with appropriate solvents ensures that modern primers and paints adhere properly to the timber surface.
