How do I clean a silk carpet?

Professional specialist cleaning is essential for delicate silk textiles to prevent fibre distortion and colour running. Regular gentle vacuuming without a beater bar removes surface dust safely. Avoid household detergents or amateur washing methods entirely, as moisture damages fine silk foundations.

Where were these carpets made?

Production centres include historic weaving cities across Persia such as Qum, Isfahan, Kashan, Tabriz, and Nain. Certain examples also originate from Turkish manufacturing regions like Kayseri. Each weaving region developed distinct palette preferences and structural characteristics over generations.

Can I place these rugs in hallways?

High traffic corridors subject delicate silk fibres to accelerated wear and tear. Placing them in low traffic areas or using them as wall hangings preserves their structural integrity. Protective underlays prevent slipping and reduce friction against hard flooring surfaces.
