Description

Striking Art Deco French silvered bronze sculpture of a seagull on the crest of a wave. A truly realistic study that captures the birds movement and environment perfectly. A very large and very heavy silvered bronze which gives wonderful highlights and depth , sitting on it's original black marble base signed by L Carvin, a well known French Art Deco period artist, particularly well known for his animal studies. Tiny engraving on wing seems to be "no 7"

Excellent, nice patination, couple of tiny chips to marble
