Japanese Meiji (19thC) boxwood netsuke of a daruma, signed Shumin. Seated, his face bearing a beatific expression as he meditates, his arms enveloped in his loose voluminous robe which is open at the chest. Earrings and himotoshi linings are stag antler (replaced) NOT IVORY. Height 3.75cm, width 4cm, depth 3cm
