Description

Swedish empire revival mahogany 3 piece lounge suite circa 1900

Set consists of 2 armchairs with matching table.  the chairs are made to a high quality and complete in original fabric.  shaped backs with applied ormolu mounts to the backrest, show frame arms flow down to further mounts below the arm.  standing on tapered legs.  original fabric, with embroidered detailing on the back.

Circular occasional table, decorated with the same mounts, raised on 3 legs with a just above floor level concave shaped shelf, terminating on paw feet.

Expected fading,wear and light staining to original velvet fabric, but no holes. Later braid.  surface marks to woodwork, in line with age and use.  table top re-polished with minor surface marks.  light rubbing to ormolu mounts.
