Finely cast bronze reduction of the iconic statue of Emperor Marcus Aurelius situated in the Piazza del Campidoglio and museum of the Capitoline Hill , Rome , Italy .

The over life-size scale of the mounted Emperor is designed to convey and show power and divine grandeur , his hand is extended in a gesture of adlocutio , used by emperors when addressing their troops.

Superb consistent rich colour and and patina to the bronze, mounted on its original verde antico marble plinth base with a chamfered top edge .
