A near pair of late 19th century (circa 1890) Italian Grand Tour alabaster busts of Venus and Diana on marble stands of small proportions.

This near pair of Classical alabaster busts consist of of Venus, her hair in Classical Roman style supported on a dark green turned and square marble base and Diana wearing a chiton robe with a band in her hair supported on a dark green turned marble base.

Venus was the Roman Goddess of love, beauty, prosperity and victory, Diana the Goddess of hunting, chastity and the moon.

This pair of busts are both in very good condition for age, are both stable and can go straight into a home.
