Exceptional quality cast bronze reduction of the iconic 2nd century AD Roman marble statue of Apollo , the original now exhibited in the Belvedere courtyard of the Vatican Pio -Clementine Museums in Rome, Italy .
Known therefore as the “Apollo Belvedere” or “Pythian Apollo “ , the god is depicted in contrapposto pose , naked having had a bow in his hand , a cloak over his shoulder and wearing a quiver , leaning against a tree stump .
