Description

A pine carved female saint gessoed and then painted and gilded. Possibly Mary due to the blue veil.

She is sat with right arm held out and there was probably a valuable crucifix in that had. The veil is particularly well decorated; checked to the interior and blue gilt to the exterior. Gilt cuffs and hair.

There is some age related wear and minor losses. Some chips to the gesso the worst area being the top of the head. As shown in the photo. This stable.
