John Howkins Antiques has dated this Minton Tiled Hall Stand to the 1890s.
The hall stand having a moulded cornice above a carved frieze joining carved and pierced corners which retain the 6 original brass coat hooks. The centre has a bevel edged mirror plate which is in good condition and flanked by the stiles which retain 4 larger brass coat hooks.Below are the impress marked Minton tiles from "Tuesday to Friday” with a shelf and drawer under and umbrella / stick stand holders. The platform base with Saturday’s tile with drip pans to either side.The walnut hall chairs contain tiles for "Monday & Sunday” and are set within moulded frames.
