Martlesham Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This bronze has a fabulous patina and is in excellent condition, standing in uniform wearing a bicorn hat, waistcoat and knee-high boots holding his sword in his left hand and a scroll in his right, standing on a circular plinth base which is inscribed “Modele du Concours 1831” and signed Carle Elshoecht , also on top of the plinth is inscribed “Arcole, Maringo, Wagram, Austerl, Moscou”
