Description

English, circa 1880 a pitcher by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons. Transfer- printed and polychrome decorated with portrait of Longfellow on obverse and first stanza of Longfellows poem Keramos on reverse. Authors book titles feature around the neck.

Manufactured by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, Etruria for Richard Briggs of Boston.

Generally in good condition for age but with small glaze fault on picture of potter and small base chip all shown in the photographs.
