The goddess is shown contrapposto with her arms and hands covering her nudity , probably after bathing .
Well-cast detail and excellent consistent patination and colour.
The sculpture is mounted upon an original turned black marble base .

High quality objects such as this bronze were produced to satisfy the demand for momentoes and souvenirs by wealthy tourists completing ‘The Grand Tour’ of Europe visiting the classical and cultural sights and site of Europe throughout the C18th and C19th centuries.
