Fabulous scale to this solid 19th century Carrara marble bust of a very well presented gentleman and appears to have a Legion d''honneur medal pinned to his left lapel.
Well carved, full of detail and the bust has spent some time outside, so it has a well weathered finish and I have to say I rather like the expression and he looks to have led a comfortable life!
Good condition throughout and extremely heavy. This bust would need a suitable marble column to sit upon.
