A mid 19th century French bronze figure of the Borghčse gladiator. Depicted standing, his left arm raised, the finely cast and chased bronze with dark brown patination. Now standing on a later marble block plinth. ‘Reduction mechanique’ seal & signed ‘F. Barbedienne’ to the base.
