C17th Italian Carved Oak Wood Sculpture of the Virgin Mary

This beautiful late 17th/early 18th century free standing carving with a truly wonderful patina of the Immaculate Conception tells the story of the holy mother Mary standing on a globe with her feet crushing Satan represented by the snake.

The carving of Mary's face is excellently done as are her flowing robes and tunic, a lovely piece of art, shown here also under a large 19th Century Italian glass dome which can be purchased separately.

Buyers have the right to ask to return an item purchased from us within 14 days of receiving the goods.

Returned items must be sent using a shipping method and carrier tier equivalent to that used for the original dispatch, unless an alternative service upgrade is agreed upon in advance.

Items must be returned unaltered and in their original condition. The consumer retains full liability for the goods during transit and is responsible for handling any insurance claims for damage, loss, or theft that may occur during return shipment.

A refund of the amount received by us for the item will be issued to the original method of payment once the item has been safely received. A deduction may be applied if the value of the item has been diminished by handling or use beyond what is necessary to inspect it.
