Sold by: Pareglio & Ayres Antiques Interiors

This is a very imposing patinated plaster bust probably of Louis Philippe I, King of France from 1830 to 1848 (b. 1773 - d. 1850).

He is wearing a military coat with a medal and a beautifully detailed chemise with a tied cravat. The profusion of details is generous all around the piece; indeed, the back shows a fantastic thick fur collar.

Although with some tolerable wear and tear and minor imperfections, it is a great substantial object which would add character and personality to any type of environment.

The bust is here presented on the ideal display stand / support (sold separately)

Size of the base: 30 X 30 cm
