"Enchanted": Art Deco Bronze by Joseph Descomps

Description

JOSEPH DESCOMPS: a fine Art Deco period silvered BRONZE SCULPTURE entitled "Enchanted". This beautiful bronze depicts a young woman, her long hair kept in place by a simple "tiara" with a matching necklace, whilst dressed "decolletage" in a long stylised gown of the 1920's period. Fully signed within the integral bronze base. Supported on its original shaped variegated onyx plinth, this measures 15.5ins (39.5cms) overall.

**Joe DESCOMPS (1869-1950) was a French sculptor working out of Paris in the 1920s. He became famous for his small scale elegant figures in ivory and bronze.
