A mid 19th century French bronze of a putto (or cherub) standing next to a seated young girl.

This bronze depicts the two figures looking at or writing in a book, possibly symbolic of education and learning.

They are depicted on a bronze naturalistic oval base with another book at their feet, marked 'Moreau 1857'.

This bronze is in excellent condition for age and can go straight into a home.
