Deco Interiors has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Original fine quality nude dancer, with arms aloft, by famous Austrian artist, Joseph Lorenzl.
Signed "Lorenzl" in maquette and stamped ARGENTOR WIEN. Mounted on a Brazilian green cylindrical onyx base.
While at the Vienna Arsenal, Lorenzl produced many bronze and chryselephantine sculptures, the latter using both bronze and ivory, and captivated by the female form he became famed for his shapely dancing girls with long, elegant legs and closed eyes.

The last time this version was sold in auction was at Christies, London, 1st May 2008 (£3750) - see photo attachment. Also Christies 26/4/2005 (£3840).

Base diameter: 11cm/ 4 1/2"
Condition: Very good. Very slight restoration to dress.
