Grey Hounds Early 20th Century by Jules Edmond Masson

This superb quality and large figure group has been made in three separate components comprising of the hand carved granite base and two individual dogs which have a location block on their feet which fits into a socket in the stone.

The dogs are solid castings with white art metal with a bronze patinated finish.

This sculpture was produced by Jules Edmond Masson in the 1920's. He was French born in 1871 and worked until 1932.

On the reverse of the granite base in a bronze plaque inscribed J.E. Masson Madaille D'or Salon de Artistes, Francais - Edition Max-Le Verrier Paris.
