Original high quality French art deco sculpture of a girl reading a book by Menneville c.1925.

This is the largest size of this particular model.

Hand coloured dress. Fine quality ivorine head and hands.

Inscribed "MENNEVILLE" on marble plinth, inset with white onyx top.

The size of this piece places it at the higher end of the range of figures produced by Menneville in the 1920-30s.

Height including base: 47cm/ 19", excluding base 43cm/ 17"

Depth: 18cm/ 7"

Width: 24.5cm/ 10"

Condition: Very good original condition. Some light wear to the dress and bonnet.
