A Stunning Pair of French Art Deco Greyhounds by Jules Masson C1920-30

An original French art deco sculpture of a pair of greyhounds circa 1920-30, by Jules-Edmond Masson (born 1871), a famous French animalier.

The finely cast pair of dogs are mounted on a rocky base. One of the dogs is drinking from a pool.

Inscribed "MASSON" in stone.

This sculpture was cast in art metal by the famous Le Verrier foundry in Paris and won a gold medal at the reputable Salon des Artistes Francais, a showcase for the premier French artists of the day.

Condition: Very good original condition. Some minor loss of patina.
